Pastor Emeritus Marty Duncan and our History.

Fellowship of the Hills (FOTH) began as a church plant in the home of its founders, Senior Pastor Dr. Marty Duncan and his wife, Susan, in August 2008. FOTH was officially named on October 1 and received its official incorporation in the State of Georgia on October 6, 2008.
Starting from its humble beginnings in their home, FOTH experienced significant congregational growth that necessitated several moves to larger facilities. Initially meeting in their living room, the group later transitioned to a hot dog restaurant, where they prepared the space each Saturday night for Sunday services. Within a few months, the growth required another relocation.
Pastor Marty secured two small storefronts on Brackets Way. Once again, FOTH’s continued growth made another move necessary, this time to a large metal building. Located on Pinebrook Drive, that building was remodeled to create a Worship Center and classrooms.
As FOTH continued to thrive, another move was essential, leading them to a larger storefront location on Cleveland Street. In 2013, FOTH completed the remodel of several storefronts at that site and remained there until 2022. During the last few years on Cleveland Street, the church grew so much that worship services were simulcast at the Blairsville Cinema.
In that period, FOTH purchased a 5-acre parcel, and in May 2022, construction began on its new Worship Center on Pat Haralson Drive. In August 2023, FOTH officially relocated to its new facility.
Over the past 17 years, FOTH has grown to an active attendance of over 250 members, not including regular guests and online viewers of Sunday Worship Services. The blessings of growth included new professions of faith, baptisms, and many new members joining the FOTH family to worship and serve. This growth can be attributed to the church’s active community outreach and mission ministries.
Pastor Marty consistently reminded the congregation to apply Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” The FOTH family was encouraged to make that scripture applicable in their personal lives and across all the ministries of the church. The faithful and sacrificial service of many at FOTH has brought countless miracles and blessings to this church family. To God be all the glory!
In January 2025, Pastor Marty retired as Senior Pastor to assume the honorable role of Pastor Emeritus. He and Susan continue to live in the Blairsville area, spending time traveling and enjoying their children and eight grandchildren while continuing to serve the Lord wherever they are called.
Pastor Marty also hosts a daily radio outreach ministry program titled “Blueprint for Life.” This program airs on the Faith Radio network in the United States and on the Imani Radio Network in Uganda and Kenya. This radio outreach is supported by dedicated private donors.
