Nick has served in various areas of ministry, including media, missions, youth work, teaching, counseling, worship, Christian education, and oversight of home fellowship groups.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Management Information Systems and Decision Sciences from the University of South Florida. A few years later, after feeling a personal calling to full-time ministry, Nick attended Calvary Chapel Bible Institute in Fort Lauderdale, where he earned a diploma in Biblical Studies with an emphasis on pastoral ministry. He later returned to school to further his education by obtaining a Master of Arts in Theology from Reformed Theological Seminary.

Nick and his family lived in Sarasota, Florida, where he served as Principal of Calvary Chapel School for 12 years. During this time, he was also responsible for the church’s home fellowship ministry, helping everyone stay connected and build strong relationships.

In 2019, the Sommers moved to Blairsville, Georgia, where Nick expanded his ministry experience as the Director of Family and Youth at Grace Presbyterian Church.
